A “chismosa” is someone who usually gossips and spreads malicious thoughts about someone with no valid reason or base. It is derived from the term “chismis” which means gossip. If one likes to spread gossip as a hobby, then one is called a “chismosa.”
Facebook user Patricia De Los Santos called out a “chismosa” who was always criticizing her OOTD’s, or outfit-of-the-day. Apparently, she got tired of the criticisms being leveled at her and she posted her sentiments on her own page. According to her post:
According to her, the “chismosa” kept on saying that she was “feeling mayaman” because of the daily OOTD’s she posts.
But De Los Santos revealed that her clothes do not even cost one thousand pesos (₱1,000) per item, so it doesn’t give the critic the right to call her “feeling mayaman.”
She also added a post-script and said that even though her critics wear branded items, they will not look good because of their attitude. De Los Santos quoted a saying which reiterated that it’s not about the clothes, but the one who wears it, along with his or her attitude.
Her post has already gained 22 thousand likes as of this writing and 7,740 shares on the social media. She didn’t drop any names so netizens were left wondering who the alleged “chismosa” was.
It could be safely assumed that the “chismosa” was spreading lies about De Los Santos and saying that the latter was “feeling mayaman” with her clothes, hence the term “chismosa.” She may be one of the user’s friends on Facebook who is insecure and jealous of De Los Santos.
If the above picture was a sample of the OOTD’s that De Los Santos had uploaded, then perhaps her critic was definitely insecure of her. Lots of netizens shared their opinions in the comments section and said that they supported De Los Santos.
