Casey Fischer, a student and young mom from Connecticut, United States did not expect that her talent in talking to strangers could become such a good thing that it helped a man see a glimmer of light in the darkest of his days. She was even called a “beautiful person” by this homeless man that she talked to during her break in class.
Casey posted on Facebook her encounter with this homeless man who she unknowingly helped. She was on her way to what we assume was “Dunkin’ Donuts” when she saw this homeless man singing on the roadside while picking up some change. This piqued Casey’s curiosity so she began to talk to the man.
The student-mom seemed to be so interested with the man’s story that she even bought him a cup coffee and a bagel as the man was short of money to buy food for himself. They then sat down together. The curious Casey started to talk and ask the man some questions.
The man then told Casey his whole life. He told her how people treat him mean because he is homeless and how being a drug addict changed him. He told her that his mom died from canc. She said in her post that Chris was one of the most honest and sincere person she has ever met.
After some time talking with Chris, Casey had lost track of time and realized that she really has to get back to class. Before Casey left, Chris handed him a crumpled piece of receipt that has a note on the back saying “I wanted to kill myself today because of you i now do not. Thank you beautiful person”.
Many netizens poured positive comments on Casey’s post. They were very happy and thankful that Casey was there during that time. They obviously inspired by Casey and Chris’ story.
