A Filipina got into an accident on the streets of Hongkong. Fellow Filipina Shayne Padul Cruz shared the incident that she witnessed on her Facebook account.
She used the incident to share her opinion that Filipinos should always have their HK id with them.
According to Shayne, the woman crossed the street near the St. Joseph Cathedral Church where she was hurt. Hongkong respondents were quick to go to the scene and immediately take the woman to the nearest hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Comments of people familiar with the area began to emerge. They do acknowledge that the specific area is dangerous to pedestrians because it has no pedestrian lane. Plus, cars just seem to pop out of nowhere in the said area.
“Delikado kc mga roads design jan sa taas, dpat tlaga sa may traffic lights ka wait ng go signal,kc may mga twiran jan na pkiramdaman nlng, lalo at galing sa mtaas na area yong mga sskyan, ngkamali silang pareho ng estimate, lalo at nka cp yong pinay,” said Shayne.
“Walang pedestrian diyan or traffic light at di dapat tumawid diyan dahil ang mga sasakyan diyan sumusulpot kahit saan,” said Facebook user Michelle Divina Bauya.
